More From Every Drop

YaraTera FERTICARE is a complete range of crop-specific, water-soluble NPK fertilisers developed especially for hydroponic fertigation systems.

Developed with input from leading nutritional research institutions throughout the world, the range includes formulations for Lettuce (leafy vegetables), Vegetables (capsicums and cucumbers), Tomatoes and Strawberries.

Each delivers precise amounts of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium, sulphur, iron, manganese, zinc, boron, copper, and molybdenum.

Yara Australia Commercial Manager, Paul Eitzen, says the use of crop-specific formulations allows nutrients and water to be delivered simultaneously for maximum efficiency.

“Each crop requires different ratios of macro and micronutrients for optimal growth and marketable yield,” Paul says.

“Having one, balanced formulation for each crop helps to avoid mistakes, potential crop damage or precipitation when mixing separate fertilisers.”

Made in The Netherlands from high quality ingredients, these easy-to-mix, free-flowing and dust-free formulations can be applied using most modern two-tank hydroponic systems.

“YaraTera FERTICARE is ideal for use throughout the growing season, for fine-tuning the recipe at different plant growth stages only two other fertilisers are required” he says.

“During all stages, YaraTera FERTICARE should be applied in combination with YaraLiva CALCINIT to provide an additional source of fast-acting, plant-available nitrogen and strength-building calcium to optimise growth and strength,” Paul says.

“During the second and third generative stages, FERTICARE should be applied in combination with YaraTera KRISTA K PLUS to supply extra potassium to optimise fruit quality.”

Yara fertilisers are supported by range of innovative decision-making tools to provide a complete crop nutrition solution for all production systems.

“With 100 years of knowledge and expertise in plant nutrition, Yara can offer expert technical support and a range of decision-making tools and services to help growers get the very best results,” Paul says.

These tools include YaraTera Fertigation Software, an online system that calculates the crop’s nutrient demands at every growth stage; Yara Water Solution, which uses in-crop sensors to determine irrigation scheduling; and Megalab, an internet-based data interpretation service.
