20 years in Australia

Yara can look back on more than 20 years of business in Australia supporting farmers, horticulturalists and greenhouse growers throughout the country.

From the start in 1994 until today, the company’s main focus has been on providing leading crop nutrition, specialising in dry applied, water soluble, bulk liquid and foliar fertilisers. With different company names and structures, evolving from Nipro bulk liquid products, Phosyn foliar applied nutrient products, and Hydro Agri to Yara Australia, the company has provided customers in Australia with superior products, services and expert advice for 20 years.

Our History...
Our history is living proof of our commitment to growers, first starting in Moree, New South Wales in 1994, when Nipro began the manufacture and delivery of bulk liquid fertiliser for use in the cotton growing industry. Today, we still insist on market-central based operations and close relationships with local growers.

Our history shows our growth in important agricultural areas where we have been supported by growing markets.

During the later years the development of the industrial market and the increased focus on environmental products mark two additional important milestones.
